Derby CAMRA Winter Beer Festival

Introduction

The 15th Derby Winter Beer Festival is now being organised and will take place on 20th to the 23rd February 2019 at the Roundhouse in Derby.

Volunteers Social

There will be a social evening on 16th May 2019 at the Smithfield between 20:00 (8pm) and 22:00 (10pm) where you can discuss how the festival went.

 

Beer, Cider, Mead, Gin & Rum

Beer

This year we will feature bars from Blue Monkey, Blackstorm, Beer Metropolis (inc. Shiny) and Brass Castle.
There will also be a craft ales bar featuring some interesting tipples from keykeg to compliment those on the Beer Metropolis and Brass Castle Bars.

World Beer

Once again we will have a world beer bar serving exotic delights from across the globe. Click here for a World Beer List

Cider

There will be a dedicated cider bar offering a wide range of ciders. Click here for a Cider List.

Mead

Mercian Mead will again be running a mead bar.

Gin and Rum

A first for us is that Blue Monkey will be running a gin and rum bar.

 

Refreshments

There will be hot food available throughout the festival in the main Roundhouse.
Pipers Crisps will be supplying crisips.
Oddfellows Chocolates will have a range of hand made chocolates and truffles.
Morgans will have their cheese stall selling quality chesses, scotch eggs and pies.

 

Entertainment

Wednesday 20th
Acoustica Classic Rock & Pop from 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's with a twist.
Transposition acoustic guitars and a cajon with songs from the 60's to the present day.

Thursday 21st
Elvis Tribute - Rik Gaynor and Dallas Roots Combo 4 piece rockin' combo influenced by rockabilly, blues, rock & roll, rhythm & blues and country.

Friday 22nd
Greg Maskalick & Friends jazz.
Indie Division a classic indie cover band doing great songs from the golden era - The Smiths, Stone Roses, Oasis, Shed Seven, Buzzcocks and many more.
MJ Hibbert & The Validators a mixture of topical, humorous, punky, folky indie in the vain of Hall Man Half Biscuit, the Wedding Present and Billy Bragg.

Saturday 23rd
Rugby the Rugby 6 Nations will be on show during the afternoon.
The Foxgloves a talented trio of singers who recreate the blended sound of girl groups from the 1930's to 1960's.
Greg Maskalick & Friends jazz.
Ska Britannia a dynamic six piece Ska band covering Madness, Specials, Bad Manners, UB40, the Piranhas, the Kingsmaen and much more.
