Clubs Officer 1st Outing
Every year CAMRA have a national Club of the Year (COTY) competition. The competition starts at the local level with branchs nominating venus and then progressing to regional level. The eventual outcome is the national Club of the Year. The Nunsfield House Social Club on 33 Boulton Lane, DE24 0FD have been awarded the Regional Club of the Year for 2016. They will now go through to the next stages of the competition.
On the 16th November Derby CAMRA made a presentation to the Nunsfield House in recognition of this achievement. This was also the chance for Derby CAMRA's brand new Clubs Officer, Ian, to start to make his appearance on the club circuit. The main image shows Paul from the Nunsfield flanked by Ian (Clubs Officer) and Mark (Pubs Officer). CAMRA, in their 2016 AGM, acknowledged the role of clubs in the preservation of Real Ale and have expanded their interests to include clubs. To this end Derby CAMRA, through Ian, are busy collating information on the local clubs in the area.
